these children had received help from the WORLD CHILDREN'S FUND
and has changes their lives

You would never know a year ago Nia was a sad, freightened little girl. When Nia was brought to a WCF supported orphan’s home, she was dirty and very thin and sick with a viral infection. Today she is healthy and happy and loves interacting with the other children. She’s a very smart little girl. She has mastered her abc’s and is learning how to read.

Nessa lost both her parents and so she went to live with her grandmother. They were poverty stricken and had no food. Nessa started showing signs of severe malnutrition and even started deteriorating mentally, and could not continue at school.
The teachers spoke to our care-giver who visited the grandmother to ask that she come and eat at the center. She was registered and she improved both physically and mentally. Her grandmother can’t express enough gratitude and appreciation to the WCF center for what they have done for her grandchild.

These children couldn’t attend school because their parents could barely afford food let alone school fees. Through a WCF-supported program, they now attend school and are enrolled in a school lunch feeding program. The lunch program provides a nutritious meal daily to children who might otherwise go hungry. The children can't wait to come to school every day.

Little Sarah lives with her elderly aunt. She witnessed the brutal deaths of her parents and brothers. Sarah used to spend her days foraging for food to feed her aunt and herself. She has never been to school and has never seen a health professional; but now Sarah comes daily to the WCF sponsored feeding programme.
In this picture she is presenting herself for her first day of feeding. Though it may not look like it, Sarah is dressed in her finest dress, all washed and clean, wearing shoes that are falling apart and much too big. But here she is with a big beautiful smile. You can see on her face her eagerness to move forward.

Many of these children were living on the streets alone, hungry and in despair. Today they are healthy, happy and thriving. Through the education they’re receiving they now have a good chance for a bright future.
WCF supports orphan’s homes and schools throughout Africa that not only provide the necessities but a warm, caring environment.

When Joseph was only four, crossfire between rebel and government troops killed his young father. A year later his grief-stricken mother dropped him at his grandmother's house and disappeared. Joseph’s grandmother cannot afford a daily meal for herself, much less for Joseph. His lack of nutrition resulted in growth stunting but fortunately, unlike some, his mind still appears to be sharp.
For the first time in his life, Joseph is receiving regular meals. But now, instead of wandering the streets of Buchanan in an endless search for food, he is playing with friends and learning to read and write.

Philip was born in 2001 in Central Buchanan, Grand Bassa. . When Philip was born his grandparents took him in. Philip lives with his grandparents in Central Buchanan. His grandparents are old and have no work. Philip’s job was to find food for his grandparents and himself. He came to us malnourished, underweight and sick with malaria.
He could not keep his food down. The Site monitor took him to the Government Hospital for medication. He miraculously recovered from the malaria in three days.

Since Philip started on the feeding program he is reportedly gaining weight and has a new outlook on life. He has already learned the alphabet.

Cynthia is five years old, the daughter of a single mother who is deaf and dumb. Mama Mbula, who is greatly handicapped and has no money generating skills and relies on well wishers for food and shelter for herself, Cynthia and Cynthia's baby sister.
Cynthia is fed daily at the WCF main feeding station in Makindu, and attends the free-of-charge pre-primary school at the same site. Her baby sister also receives daily meals through WCF.

Through WCF shipments, children receive everything from food, shoes and clothes to toys. Many of these children have never had shoes let alone a toy. The children look at the toys in amazement and sometimes even confusion.
Since they have never owned a toy of their own it can take a little time to realize what they should do with it. Once they master it, the laughter can be heard throughout the home.

Our orphanage staff in the Philippines found, in a basket, a newborn baby. She was left at our door laying on pieces of shredded newspaper, and you could see that she was severely malnourished.
That was Imee almost a year ago, abandoned by her mother and starving. After lots of love and care Imee is healthy and happy, because of caring donor’s donations to WCF.

Mirina was in constant pain and had to wear a back brace. She could hardly sit or stand. She could barely walk which prohibited her from going to school. Through a WCF supported medical trip, Mirina and many more children like her received surgery. After the surgery Esmirna expressed how grateful she was and said “I want to become a doctor to help children, just like I was helped.” Today Mirina is healthy and happy and attending school on a regular basis.

however there are children in this world hu has nt receive any help from anyone
and were suffering from hunger

Kirundo Province, Burundi — Esperance Mukashama sits on the ground in front of her mud-brick house in rural northern Burundi. With a 2-week-old baby at her breast and a listless 5-year-old at her side, Mukashama shells beans, splitting pods pulled from the family's field.

Bye~
